Pastor Alan tested positive for COVID on Thursday May 26th

Friends, I returned from Austin with what I thought was a head cold. I took two rapid tests prior (May 17 and May 20) to last Sunday (May 22nd) and both were negative. However, my head cold had not gone away, so I took another rapid test (on Thursday May 26th at 12pm) and it came back positive. I am vaccinated and have one booster.

Per the requirements, I went to the Everett Clinic for a nasal swab (results confirmed positive on Friday May 27th). Based upon the CDC, I am to isolate for five days, re-evaluate, and test negative with two swabs before any return to normal. This means I will miss worship on Sunday. I will keep you updated.

I did lead worship on Sunday (May 22nd) and Sunday school. I attended a Mission Committee meeting on Monday. I alerted those groups and others I interacted with outside of worship.

I will run Sunday school from zoom at 11:30am today. The benefit of zoom is that I can be isolated and still participate. I appreciate your prayers and hope to be healthy and back in the pulpit on June 5th.
