| Radio Ministry Celebrates 18 Years on the Air | | Print | |

Recently, KRKO-AM notified Ralph that when conducting a standardized survey of its listeners asking them to rate their favorite "sports" programs, many people wrote in that our church broadcast was their favorite program -- this was unsolicited verification of the importance of this ministry. Another testament to the value of our radio ministry came from a man who works on Sundays and is unable to attend services. He actually came in and said how much the program means to him and donated money to "help keep the program on the air." Further examples illustrating the impact and effectiveness of our radio broadcasts include: a circumstance in which a gentleman heard Dana Wright's first sermon as the new Christian Formation and Disclipleship Director at Everett First Presbyterian Church. Following the broadcast, this man made a point of coming into the church to meet Dana and tell him how much the message meant to him. Ralph Solberg answered his home phone one day and discovered that the caller had misdialed, reaching him by accident. The woman recognized his voice and said with enthusiasm, "I know you! You're Ralph Solberg from the radio!" Congratulations to the Radio Ministry team for the years of service. Your hard work and effort is certainly appreciated by your church family and many others that we may never meet that elect to listen to our braodcast on KRKO-AM on Sunday mornings. Thank you for your labor of love and willingness to share your talents in our Radio Ministry Program! Join us every Sunday at 8:02 am on KRKO AM 1380. |
