Fourth Monday Book Group | Print |

Fourth Monday Book Group is open to all. Just read the month’s book and come to Calvin Lounge the fourth Monday of any month (except December) at 10:00 a.m. Current plans call for:

October 26 - The Thirteenth Tale [Diane Setterfield] -- Bev Smiley
A Thirteenth Tale offers a once secret story unfolded by an author with secrets of her own. Add a haunted house, a ghost, a governess, the English moors, plus generations of parents and children all interwoven by a masterful storyteller. Booklist: says: "Lovers of books about book lovers will be enthralled."

November 23 - Maisie Dobbs [Jacqueline Winspear] -- Mary Grosse
Maisie greets the reader as much more than an enterprising woman sleuth. A simple first case in the aftermath of The Great War brings her face to face with personal demons once thought left behind. Reviewers say: "quirky, fresh, poignant, compelling. . . "

No Book Group in December

January 25 - Steeple On The Hill (Rev. Ed Coon] -- Shirley Solberg
A Post-Centennial History of the First Presbyterian Church as written by Pastor Emeritus the Rev. Dr. Edwin C. Coon. - a story of the church and the community of which it is a part. Don’t have a copy of Steeple on the Hill? - contact Ed Coon at 425-355-6326 to purchase a copy or stop by Pilchuck Books, next to QFC - They are for sale there as well. [The church library also has copies available to check out.]

Join us on the Fourth Monday of each month except December (or as announced) at 10:00 a.m. in Calvin Lounge at the church. Thanks to the efforts of Dottie H. and Mary, we are now registered as “4th Monday Book Group" with Sno-Isle Regional Library. If you are not on the e-mail reminder list, please contact the church office.
