Sunday from 8:45 – 9:45 am September 2007 – June 2008 Church Library
LUKE / ACTS as a 2-volume set
Beginning September 9, all adults are invited to come to the church library at 8:45 each Sunday morning to consider the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles as a 2-volume set. We believe that reliving Luke’s stories of Jesus and the early church will guide us as we link not only our personal stories but especially the story of First Presbyterian Church to God’s story. We plan to read and discuss each chapter of these narratives and note ways the ancient story is, by the power of the Holy Spirit, living truth for us. Our hope is that this class will undergird us spiritually through the congregation’s interim work. Several commentaries are available to guide our shared leadership; there is no one text to purchase! Just bring your Bible and your enthusiasm. |
